Just kidding...pictures have been removed...so sorry...but story is still cute....
Ok, this really did happen tonight with out me telling them to do anything.
Don't you LOVE it when your kids reach the age that they can start doing things for themselves and then even better FOR YOU. I can remember when Steve and I loved that Mary Alice would bring us the remote or go and get the phone for us when we were laying on the couch and the phone was ringing. We loved when Mary Alice was old enough to get up Saturday morning (at 5:30 am) and go to the cabinet and get her own food so that we did not have to get out of bed or off the couch. And now she will even go and get us glass of water! And she LOVES it.
Well tonight without any promting Charlie started washing Mary Alice's hair. He knew the routine. He got a cup of water, and wetted her hair then pumped out some shampoo and started scrubbing her hair. She loved it and so when he was done, she washed his hair, and then after that he washed her body (which is next in our routine) and then she returned the favor. It was great to just sit back and take pictures! It it great when the kids can start doing things for themselves and together.
The next step will be cleaning toilets and mowing the lawn. Free child labor is the best!
And it did not stop there...sweet Mary Alice even read books to charlie after bath. She just read and he just listened...and i just snapped away. They had smiles on their faces the whole time. They love each other soooooo much!
Does life get any sweeter than this?

Yes, those are great moments that make you sit back & sigh and know that it is all worth it! Precious!
Mary Alice, I notice that you are wearing your Mexican dress I brought you--you look beautiful in it, of course. What a nice sister you are to read to Charlie. Wasn't it nice of him to wash your hair for you??? Hope you have fun this weekend.
Whenever we look at the pictures we just want to get on an airplane to your house and give you a great big kiss and hug. Mary Alice we can remeber reading that book to you when you were little and know you are sharing it with you brother. What a great sister you are. And Charlie you can see how much you love your sister. What did you both do yesterday?
Love, G-MA

Kay-Lynn, the children are so beautiful! I see you in mary-Alice because of her sparkling eyes and Charlie is like a mini-Steve! His hair is so cute! I think it's great that they love each other so much. Ils sont deux petits coeurs!(sweethearts).
