Home Sweet Home

Well what a trip! This time last weekend we were in Lubbock...man was it great to be back! Lubbock has changed sooooo much and it was so great to see Lubbock, Texas Tech and visit with old friends and family. Steve and I had such a awesome time! My parents came up from Houston and kept the kids while we went and played. Thank you mom and dad.....what a special time you provided for us!

Here is a picture of us in front of our first home! It actually looked great and the tree we planted for Mary Alice had grown so much!

We were able to visit with our dear friend/family Valerie at lunch on Thursday and then again for lunch on Friday with Zack, and Alyssa. When I started babysitting for Valerie Zack was Charlie's age..I cannot believe he is in Middle School now! Alyssa our flower girl in our wedding looked great!

We stayed with Jenny and Paul Thursday night and it was so great to see Bennett again and meet Kate for the first time! They are just such precious kids!

I also met up with my best friend from high school and college, Amy at Starbucks (how did I leave without getting a picture?) It was so good to see Amy and her adorable daughter Kate.

Thursday night we got a tour of the "new"Lubbock and had a great dinner with Paul and Jenny.

Friday we started the morning off by eating at Burrito Tower! Man was it AWESOME! I think one of the things I miss most about Texas is breakfast burritos!

Later that day Katy and Howard came in town and we all had a great night at dinner and hanging out!

Saturday morning it was back to Burrito Tower and then onto Tech to eat our burritos and watch the homecoming parade! Sorry no pics of the parade...too busy eating..WAY to busy eating burritos.....ohhhhh man do i miss the burritos.....oh..and just as good as the burritos was that our friend Noble drove all night Friday night to come into town to see us! We missed you Tyra and John Davis!

Tech vs. Nebraska game started at 2pm. We had AWESOME seats (thanks jenny) on the 50 yard line. The game was a close one with so many ups and downs but in the end Tech pulled it out and we had such a great time!

Saturday night was more eating and hanging out with friends. We were able to see Jorge and Valerie that night and it was sooo great to see both of them and catch up. It was so hard to go to bed Saturday night knowing that it was all going to come to a end. I think we stayed up until almost 2am.

Then Sunday we came back home. It was great to be back home...we missed Mary Alice and Charlie. What a great weekend and what great friends we have. We love and miss you guys!
