Acting Class, Take One

Mary Alice took a 8 week acting class at our local theatre. She LOVED it!

They studied Myths and Heroes and used theatre to dramatize the greatest Greek and Roman Myths! She was introduced to classic mythology( Zeus and Hermes etc).

At the end of the 8 week class they put on a small play called : Pandora's Box. Mary Alice played the role of Apollo (god of poetry and music) and the feeling misery. She did a great job! Here are some pictures from her preformace.

She has been out of class for almost a month now and is ready to start back! Up next...Whacked Fairy Tales!
The Spring class is really the same thing as participating in a play and Mary Alice cannot wait. It actually sounds pretty cute. She will be on the "big stage" with kids K-8th grade. Each class works on a separate story.

So if you have you ever wanted to see what would happen if Cinderella's glass slipper broke and never quite fit her foot ever again? Or what would happen if Captain Hook were brought to maritime court for his crimes? Or how Sleeping Beauty would deal with a bout of insomnia?
Mark off May 30th and head to Winston-Salem...it should be a good time!

How wonderful! I can't think of anyone that would enjoy an acting class more than Mary Alice--how appropriate! I'm thrilled that she is having this opportunity. She will remember this forever. Go girl!!!
